Global TIES
Connecting Northern California with the World
Global Ties Sacramento and Global Ties San Francisco — divisions of World Trade Center Northern California (WTCNC) — partner with Global Ties U.S. to implement the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program, the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), in the Greater Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area regions. The IVLP brings current and emerging foreign leaders to the United States for an immersive study in a particular field of interest or foreign policy goal. Through professional meetings with American counterparts, the visits provide a dynamic exchange of ideas, best practices, and the establishment of long-term relationships and connections across the globe.
Global Ties Sacramento and Global Ties San Francisco lead WTCNC’s international exchange and diplomacy efforts, bringing tangible benefits to communities across Northern California. Through this work, the divisions support local and regional economies, expand cultural fluency, showcase global perspectives, break down barriers, and provide citizen diplomats the opportunity to advance U.S. foreign policy goals. Bridging cultures and finding commonalities among our differences make for a safer, more peaceful world.
The International Visitor Leadership Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by Global Ties U.S.
