International Payments Workshop with the EXIM Bank and SBA
The Northern California World Trade Center and the U.S. Commercial Service Sacramento will jointly host this workshop that will feature speakers from EXIM Bank and SBA. Companies will have the opportunity to learn about EXIM Bank and the services and solutions they offer to support U.S. exporters, along with an overview of all SBA exporting finance programs.
Who Are Our Speakers:
Sandra Donzella is the Deputy Managing Director for the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. – Western Region. She is based in San Diego and covers the states of California, Montana and Wyoming. She is responsible for providing export counseling to small and medium-sized businesses as they enter or expand in the global marketplace.
Jeff Deiss is a Regional Export Finance Manager and International Trade Finance Manager with the U.S. Small Business Administration. He works with exporters and commercial lenders in northern and central California to find and export financing solutions for small businesses. He also serves as the team leader for all of SBA’s export finance officers in the Western US.
Scott Leslie is the Vice President of Economic Development for the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce. He oversees the operation of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Business Bridge program and the Economic Development Committee at the Chamber. The SBDC supports small businesses through consulting and providing resources.

The EXIM Bank is the official export credit agency of the United States and helps finance U.S. exports to international markets. EXIM Bank provides “working capital guarantees (pre-exporting financing); export credit insurance; and loan guarantees and direct loans (buyer financing).” On average, 85% of the EXIM Bank’s transactions directly benefit small businesses in the U.S. With over 70 years of experience, the EXIM Bank has assisted in financing more than $400 billion of U.S. exports, primarily to developing markets worldwide.
