The Partnership in Innovation, Free Trade and Global Growth Forum will focus on investing in each other’s economy. There will be two presentations, one specifically focused on the Free Trade Agreement, and the other on best prospects for doing business/trade with Korea . The Free Trade Agreement between U.S. and Korea will highlight Korea ’s vibrant economy, an overview of goods, trade services, and how U.S. companies can benefit and establish a secure legal framework for investors. As for conducting business/trade with Korea , the second presentation will overview the economy and U.S. trade with Korea . Best prospects for U.S. exports and doing business in Korea will be the main focus.

The Sacramento State Alumni Association is hosting the first Sacramento State International Alumni Summit in China , in partnership with the Office of President Gonzalez. Travel with Sacramento State alumni for an extraordinary excursion and International Alumni Summit in China . The trip includes full round trip travel from Sacramento to Hong Kong where you will stay at the Park Hotel. After a leisurely arrival day, you will join Sacramento State President Alexander Gonzalez and members of the Alumni Association Hong Kong chapter for a dinner banquet to kick off the International Alumni Summit.

The Summit program will be a convention of ideas focused on current topics of issue for the world’s most populated country and its relationship with the United States . Faculty speakers and panels from both the U.S. and China will engage summit attendees in discussions on some of the following topics:

• China/U.S. Business Ventures

• Contemporary Chinese Arts & Culture

• Challenges to Building a Sustainable Environment

Interspersed through the sessions will be site visits to a local museum and a Chinese University . The opportunity for idea exchange will continue over lunch and into dinner as Summit participants, including Hong Kong alumni, learn, socialize and tour together.
